Heritage of the Former Service: Combination of different subethnic elements in the Bukeev Horde

Abstract

The article is devoted to Bukeev Karagashnogays, a subethnos of the western group of Kazakhs, which is still little studied to this day. The issues of the formation of this particular sub-ethnic group, the former social role and the current status of the descendants of the former servicemen, their current self-awareness and expected prospects are considered.
