Abstract

The jubilee essay is dedicated to the leading researcher at the Center for Physical Anthropology, the permanent head of the cabinet-museum named after Academician Alekseev V.P., a remarkable person and great scientist Margarita Mikhailovna Gerasimova. The entire scientific life of Margarita Mikhailovna took place within the walls of our institute. She studied the population of the vast expanses of our country from the Paleolithic era to the late Middle Ages. Gerasimova M.M. can safely be called a "human of science"
