Abstract

The article analyzes some of the problems typical for labor migration from Central Asian countries to Russia. The author presents field materials collected during participant observation in the summer of 2018. Having travelled along with several groups of labor migrants who traveled from Central Asian countries to Russia either with the assistance of the state or informally, the researcher had the opportunity to see the problems and difficulties faced by migrants on the way from their country of residence to their destination and to observe the difficulties encountered at the initial stage of job search
