Abstract

S.V. Cesko was one of the most prominent figures in the Institute of Ethnography / Ethnology during the last decades of its history. The position and status of Sergei Viktorovich were a reflection of his multifaceted scientific activity and outstanding research achievements, the significant role he played in organizing the life of the institute, as well as his personal outstanding human qualities.
