Abstract

The article analyzes certain aspects of the state family policy in Sweden. Tendencies in reproduction problems (such as the law on legalization of abortions) are reviewed in the context of the socirty’s general social-economic state. An attempt is made to analyze the problem of abortions legalization throughout the previous century, in connection with the general economic development of the country and the dynamics in public views. Obvious is the correlation between the social-economic state of the society and the degree of coping with particular social problems and achievement of certain social goals. This is also relevant to the practical formation processes of Swedish women’s reproductive rights and opportunities throughout the XX century.
