Abstract

In the article, the author, a cultural anthropologist and folk singer, discusses the specifics of folk bewailing/lamenting and folk songs as a special variant of cultural communication and therapeutic practice. The work was carried out based on Hungarian materials. Specific cases of a practical application of performing arts in clinical therapy are presented.
