Abstract

The article discusses the peculiarities of the emergence of traditional medicine in China and its practices in various historical periods, specifics of the formation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a traditional medical system (TMS), and its further spread to other countries. The article reviews educational and academic activities of various TCM universities, and study programs for training TCM practitioners. The author touches upon the problem - its legislative and practical aspects - of peculiarities of TCM experts' work in modern Russia and possible training of Russian experts based on Chinese educational programs.
