МEDICINE OF HOPE: AN EXPERIENCE OF A HUMANITY STUDY

Abstract

The text analyzes one of the most important contemporary studies of medicine in the frameworks of humanities. The discussion suggested by the author combines the positions of a philosopher, sociologist, epistemologist, culturologist, historiographer, and medical anthropologist. We may argue that the reviewed work marks a new step in contemporary humanity studies. It sums up the development of academic reflections of the last decades in Russia and abroad.
