Abstract

The author gives information on the regular international schools of medical anthropology and bioethics conducted at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology named after N.N. Miklukho-Maklai, Russian Academy of Sciences (IEA RAS). The schools are organized twice a year, in spring and autumn, mainly for students of medical universities (the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I.Evdakimov), as well as undergraduates and post-graduates of humanitarian institutes of RAS. The work of the 7th International MAIB School is outlined. The system of casting of applicants for the Master’s program in Case Western Reserve University that took place after the school is described at the end of the article.
