Abstract

The classic image of a museum as a scientific institution currently requires a comprehensive rethinking, which is linked to changes in the formats of scientific work in museums. The article presents options for the museum to function as an anthropological laboratory, allowing for the study of contemporary communities and their transformations. It explores the possibilities for museums to conduct qualitative and quantitative research in their spaces and to work with non-graphic museum sources.
