Abstract

In his essay, director and curator Vladimir Kocheryan reflects on the cultural contexts of his childhood and upbringing in Yakutia and how they influenced his professional work as a director, curator, and critic. He also outlines the history of the creation of the film «Yakut Cinema — Between Worlds» and the book «Yakut Cinema — the Path of Self-­Determination».
